Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is based on a blended approach, combining planned adult-led activities with child-led learning and play, all guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Inclusive practice

Every child is welcomed, valued and supported to take part, whatever their background, needs or abilities.

Adult-led activities

Planned activities led by our practitioners introduce new skills, ideas and vocabulary.

Child-led learning and play

Children have time and freedom to choose, explore and follow their own ideas through play.

Meeting the EYFS 7 areas of learning

Communication and language; physical development; personal, social and emotional development; literacy; mathematics; understanding the world; and expressive arts and design.

Following children's interests

We notice what excites each child and build their interests into our planning.

Promoting school readiness

We help children develop the confidence, communication and social skills they need for their next step.

Promoting independence

Children practise self-care, making choices and solving problems for themselves.

Preparing children for life

Everyday routines teach kindness, cooperation and resilience that last well beyond the early years.

Indoor and outdoor learning experiences

Learning happens everywhere, from our rooms to local gardens, libraries and outings.
